The Employability Programme

Introduction to LEAP Africa.
Who are we?
In the international arena, there is widespread recognition that leadership skills are crucial for individual and organizational success and nation building. As a result, over the past twenty years, numerous leadership institutes and centers have emerged to support entrepreneurs and managers in the private sector as well as youth in various spheres of development. Unfortunately, Africa continues to lag behind in this area.

Leadership, Effectiveness, Accountability & Professionalism (LEAP) Africa is a nonprofit organization which emerged in May 2002 to fill this important gap.
Since its inception, LEAP has successfully launched leadership programmes for business owners, social entrepreneurs and youth in Aba, Abuja, Benin, Enugu, Ibadan, Kano, Lagos, Onitsha and Port Harcourt.

Employability Programme: This programme is geared towards improving the employability of disadvantaged youth between the ages of 16 and 35.It equips them with life, employability, personal development and bascic ICT skills. It is funded by Microsoft and the United States Government with the support of the International Youth Foundation.
